2020 World Humanitarian Day: CEPEJ joined the world to celebrate




Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ joined the world to celebrate this year world Humanitarian day tagged “a tribute to aid workers on the front lines” by calling on all Nigerians to support all front line workers especially those in the line of duties working to improve the lives of people in their communities, who are going to extraordinary length in extraordinary times to help and assist women, men and children whose lives are hanging on the balance due to crisis and the global threat of COVID-19.


Speaking on the importance of humanitarian service to people, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade who is the Ibe-Sourimowei of Gbramatu Kingdom, said the dedication, perseverance and self-sacrifice of those whore are care givers to COVID-19 patients in hospitals, health centers and isolation centers and all those who have contributed in providing palliatives to vulnerable and less privileged including those in orphanage homes need to be emulated.


Joining the world to commemorate the 2020 world humanitarian day, CEPEJ counts on it distribution of palliatives , hand wash buckets, soap, hand sanitizers and other PPE to Schools, Health Centers and communities during the period of COVID-19 and in recent times.


The National Coordinator Chairman / CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ Chief Mulade, encourage and urged Nigerians and the world to be selfless and not to give up in rendering assistance and support to others as that is the best way to give back to the society.
