...Commends Chief Mulade Sheriff for Peace, Security Advocacy Initiatives
An America-based Board of Trustees member of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice CEPEJ, Mr. Robert Leblanc and his wife Ese, on Thursday 5th July, 2021 visited the Head Office of the NGO at Ugolo-Okpe near Warri. They were received on arrival by the National Coordinator and CEO of CEPEJ, Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade, and the NGO's Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Chief GodwIn Orhadahwe.
Mr. and Mrs Leblanc were conducted round the CEPEJ's Head Office Complex, also known as Africa for Peace Centre, which accommodates the NGO's offices, library, conference room, training center, ICT section and the NGO's hospitality business building.
The CEPEJ's Board of Trustees member based in Washington DC, USA, commended Comrade Mulade and his team for the NGO's contributions to the Nigeria peace and security campaign, and thanked CEPEJ for the opportunity given him to serve as one of its trustees in the Diaspora.
Mr. Robert Leblanc promised to send peace and security related books to CEPEJ for its library at the Head Office in Ugolo-Okpe, adding that he was proud to be associated with CEPEJ, a foremost civil society organisation in Nigeria.
In his remarks, National Coordinator/CEO of CEPEJ, Comrade Chief Mulade Sheriff thanked Mr. Robert Leblanc and his wife, Ese for visiting the NGO's Head Office in Nigeria, as well as for his invaluable contributions to the success of the NGO. He said in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, CEPEJ has continued to intervene in the peace and security issues in Nigeria, especially in the Niger Delta Region.
Chief Sheriff Mulade who is the Ibe-Seremowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom told Mr. and Mrs. Leblanc that CEPEJ has some branch offices in Lagos, Kano, Minna in Niger State, Maiduguri in Borno State as well as riverine office in Benikrukru Town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA of Delta State areas, as well as operational headquarters in Abuja.
For his part, CEPEJ's Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. GodwIn Orhadahwe highlighted the Pan African mandate of the NGO which made it to organize series of programmes in Nigeria, Ghana and other parts of the African continent. He also commended Mr. and Mrs Leblanc for finding time to visit the CEPEJ's Head Office.
The event was climaxed by a group photograph of Mr. and Mrs Leblanc, and the CEPEJ team, including the Corporate Manager Adminstration and Accounts, Mrs. Tina Agidi, Senior Manager Programmes, Mr. Samuel Ideh, Communication and Programmes Manager, Mr. Tonfawei Daniel, as well as the ICT Manager, Mr. Olasupo Olatoke.
