CEPEJ Visits Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Hafiz Inuwa Mni


Chief Mulade invites the Delta State Commissioner of Police to the Handover Ceremony of the State Intelligence and Investigation Bureau (SIIB) Building, Area Command Warri


The National Coordinator, Chairman / CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice CEPEJ, Chief Comrade Sheriff Mulade on Thursday September 10, 2020 paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police Delta at his office in Asaba.

The visit was geared toward the planned Handover Ceremony of the State Intelligence Investigation Bureau (SIIB) Building built and furnished by CEPEJ in Warri Area Command to kick-start this year’s International Day of Peace commemoration by CEPEJ, tagged “Shaping Peace together”


Comrade Mulade in his speech said that the visit is to invite the Delta State Commissioner of Police CP HAFIZ MOHAMMEND INUWA Mni to grace the occasion and to be part of the historic event. He also said that, CEPEJ is a friend of the police and the organization is determined to support peace and work for peace and security as well as joining the police to fight against crime in Delta State.

In his responds, CP HAFIZ INUWA Commissioner of Police, Delta State appreciated the wonderful gesture by CEPEJ to the Nigeria Police Force, he said it is very rear for civilians to embark on such a project and donate same to the police force, he further promised to be at the event and to collaborate with CEPEJ.

The State Intelligence Investigation Bureau (SIIB) Building is built and furnished by Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ and donated to the Warri Area Command, Warri Delta State to be commissioned by the Inspector General of Police IGP on Thursday September 17, 2020.

Those expected at the event includes, the Delta State Governor, His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Chairman Warri South LGA, the Olu of Warri, DG. Institutes for peace and conflict Resolution, the commanding officer, Nigeria Army, 3 Battalion, Effurun Barracks, commander , Sector 1, Operations Delta Safe, Effurun Barracks, the commander, NNS Delta Nigeria Navy, the DSS, the DPO (A)Division,(B) Division, Enerhen, Ekpan, Ovwian-Aladja, Burutu, Ebrumede, Ogbe-Ijoh and Oreriokpe Police Division.

Earlier in his presentation the Board of Trustee Chairman Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ Chief Dr. Godwin Orhadawhe said CEPEJ is a well-recognized organization in Nigeria and other part of Africa for it humanitarian services and support to the community and that the organization is willing and ready to work and collaborate with the Nigeria Police to keep Delta State and Nigeria in general safe.


Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of CEPEJ newsletters, journals and project booklets.
