The Country Director and CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, a Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade, is to be honoured with a Public Service Award by Delta Rainbow Television, DRTV, on Friday November 12, 2021.
Chief Mulade who is the Ibe-sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA, of Delta State deserves this prestigious award due to his humanitarian services to the less privileged and vulnerable individuals living in Nigeria especially in the riverine and rural communities of Delta State.
Owing to Chief Mulade’s love for humanity, he provided food stuffs for the most deprived and vulnerable persons in Nigeria with bags of rice, beans, garri, salt and sugar; gallons of palm and groundnut oil, pastas, as well as COVID-19 personal protective equipment PPE, comprising hand washing buckets, sanitizers, nose masks and gloves to schools, communities, police stations and health centers during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, in Delta, Bayelsa and Edo States, as well as Abuja. He also distributed learning aid and books to selected Government secondary schools across the above-named States and the FCT.
In order to support the Federal Government in fighting crime and to improve on the security architecture of the country, Chief Mulade singlehandedly built, furnished and donated a building to the State Intelligence Investigation Bureau (SIIB) of the Nigeria Police in Warri Area Command of Delta State, to assist in combating crimes and reinforce the security network in the state.
He also donated an office space to the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, IPCR, as a take off point for its coverage of the South-south geo-political zone of Nigeria, Chief Mulade donated the office space to support the Federal Government, and to build peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
The humanitarian list of goodwill, programmes and public services of Chief Mulade is endless which earned him the prestigious award as DRTV Public Service Award 2021.
The Awards Ceremony is organized by Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Warri, owned by the Delta State Government, and the programme is scheduled to take place on Friday 12th of November at Holy Family Catholic Church Edjeba Warri, at 12 noon.
